New Life Baptist serving as Operation Christmas Child drop-off location

A local church is again the drop-off location for an international mission to reach out to children around the world this Christmas season.

Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international organization. Its mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ.

National collection week begins on Nov. 14 through Nov. 21.

New Life Baptist Church, located at 51 Ridgeway St., Greencastle, serves as a drop off location in the area to bring in shoeboxes packed full of goodies, which they will then combine them with other boxes dropped off from churches in our region, which spans from Covington to Terre Haute.

For anyone who would like to partner in this mission, drop off times are:

Monday, Nov. 14: 9 a.m.-noon

Tuesday, Nov. 15: 9 a.m.-noon

Wednesday, Nov. 16: 9 a.m.-noon and 6-8 p.m.

Thursday, Nov. 17: 9 a.m.-noon

Friday, Nov. 18: 9 a.m.-noon

Saturday, Nov. 19: 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 20: 9 a.m.-8 p.m.

Monday, Nov. 21: 9 a.m.-noon
