County Jail

Four people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Wednesday

• At 11:08 p.m. Michael C. Oldham, 33, Fillmore, was taken into custody for domestic battery.

• At 9:47 p.m. Tonya L. Boggs, 44, Fillmore, was housed at the jail on a warrant for theft and welfare fraud.

• At 2:43 p.m. Rashelle K. Daughtery, 40, Brazil, was booked in for driving while intoxicated-refusal, failure to return to the scene of an accident and driving with a suspended license with a prior conviction.

Monday

• At 7:53 a.m. Edward S. Craig, 60, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail for driving while intoxicated.

City Police

One recent arrest was reported by Greencastle City Police officers:

• At 1152 p.m. Tuesday, Nicholas Bennett, 32, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Angela Taylor.

Taken into custody at a Houck Road residence, Bennett was lodged in the Putnam County Jail on a Putnam County warrant on the original charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, unlawful possession of a syringe and resisting law enforcement

Sheriff’s Office

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies investigated one recent property-damage crash.

• At 6:02 p.m. Ashlyn N. Winkley, 17, Coatesville, was westbound on County Road 75 North in a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu.

Winkley told Reserve Deputy Ken Rozelle her passenger side wheels dropped off the edge of the road, and while she was attempting to get the car back on the road, an oncoming vehicle came her way and she overcorrected, leaving the road and hitting trees.

The car then rolled onto its passenger side.

Neither Winkley nor her passenger were injured.

The car was towed. Rozelle estimated damage at $2,500-$5,000.
