Ricky Joe Greene

Ricky Joe Greene, 72, of Greencastle, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2022, surrounded by his family.

He was born Aug. 25, 1950, in Champaign, Ill., the son of Charles Eugene and Ruby Josephine (Roberts) Greene.

He was a graduate of Plainfield High School with the class of 1968.

Ricky worked as a salesman and life skills trainer for several years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Timothy E. Greene Sr.; and a grandson, Trenton Tyler Homler.

Ricky is survived by his wife, Julie (Welton) Greene; children Richard (Janette) Greene, Richelle Greene, Sarah (Austin) Meinen, Valarie Serviss and Rusty Jacob Greene; brother Charles (Sue) Greene; sister Donna Baskin; grandchildren Trevor, Damon, Damien, Hallie, Sonia, Peyton, Adrian and Mason; niece Shannon Holt and family; and nephew Timothy Greene Jr. and family.

Private family memorial services will be held at a later date.

Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Ricky to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.
