Nita Jo Ann Pieper Spesard

Nita Jo Ann Pieper Spesard, 65, passed away Monday, Dec. 19, 2022, at Asbury Towers after a battle with cancer.

She was born in Beech Grove on Nov. 16, 1957, to Judy (Neil) Bishop and Jesse (Gayle) Pieper Sr.

She attended North Putnam High School.

Nita was full of life and loved the outdoors, crafts and quilting. She will be missed by all.

Nita was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Pieper Sr.; stepfather Neil Bishop; sister Debbie Brent; stepsisters Michelle Haas and Reneé Bishop; and stepbrother Chuck Bishop.

Survivors include her daughter, Jessica Spesard; grandchildren Ashley (Travis) Payne and Cody Payne; great-grandson Lincoln Allen; mother Judy Bishop; brothers Jesse (Cindy) Pieper Jr., David (Pam) Pieper, Danny (Kim) Pieper and Ronnie (Kathy) Pieper; sisters Robin (Phil) Pirtle, Jamie (Adam) Smith and Kerry Champ; stepbrothers Mike Bishop and Robert (Becky) Bishop; stepsisters Pam (Chuck) Cope and Marcia (Dale) Biggerstaff; as well as several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Moore Funeral Home in Brazil was entrusted with Nita’s cremation arrangements. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Bainbridge Cemetery.
