Judith Ann Minor, of Brazil, passed away on Jan. 17, 2023, on her 79th birthday in her home surrounded by loved ones.

Judy was born on Jan. 17, 1944, in Michigan City, the daughter of Veryl and Edith Godfrey.

The family moved to Bowling Green, where they lived previously, in 1949.

Judy graduated from Bowling Green High School in 1962.

On June 22, 1962, Judy was united in marriage to Kenny Minor.

She was a homemaker and stay-at-home mother to their three children and several foster children.

Judy worked temporarily at IBM in Greencastle and Charlotte, N.C., a doll factory in North Carolina and also at Adami’s Restaurant.

She was a talented china painter, belonging to several china painting groups. Judy was a member of the Clay County Homemakers, Ornament Club and was junior church leader when they attended Harmony Community Church. She was also a Sunday school teacher and a devoted member of Ebenezer Church.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Minor; children Kristy Evans (Jerry), Jeff Minor (Shelly) and Jody Caraway (Dan); grandchildren Justine Acton (Paul), Logan Thompson (Hannah), Tabatha Wilson, Derek Wilson, Kayla Wilson, Hannah Willard (Josh) and Bryce Minor (Rachel); great-grandchildren Kyler Wilson and Blaire Willard; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Veryl and Edith Godfrey; siblings Max Godfrey, Jay Godfrey and Marjorie Miller; grandson Zachary Minor; and mother- and father-in-law Clifford and Elsie Minor.

Services will be held Sunday, Jan. 22 at 2 p.m. at French Funeral Home, Brazil, with Pastor Dan Webster officiating. Burial will be at Calcutta Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 4-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Ebenezer Church or to the Clay County Humane Society.
