Edward Dean Gross

Edward D. Gross, 60, Greencastle, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2023.

Born Nov. 23, 1962 in Greencastle, he was the son of Gerald and Beatrice (Hayes) Gross. He was a graduate of Greencastle High School.

Ed worked at Heartland Automotive and had previously worked as a guard at the Putnamville Correctional Facility for 31 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Ed is survived by his wife, Cheryl (Douglas) Gross; children James “Bobby” Bryant and Briana Bryant; brothers Gene (Nancy) Gross, David (Gail) Gross, Jeff (Lee) Gross and Mark Gross; and two grandchildren, Adellyn Bryant and Loki Bryant.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked for contributions to the GoFundMe account that has been set up.
