Beyond Homeless to host chili cook off March 18

Is your chili up to a challenge?

The Iron Kettle Challenge Chili Cook Off benefiting Beyond Homeless will be held Saturday, March 18 from 1-4 p.m. at Greencastle Christian Church.

The Iron Kettle Challenge is friendly competition among friends, family, neighbors and the community.

Individuals and teams will face off in one of four different categories — red, white, green and vegan.

Winners will be determined by the highest number of taster’s voters in each category, and the highest number of overall taster’s votes will win the Iron Kettle.

A $10 entrance fee is required for each entry. Members of the community will judge the entries by purchasing tasting tickets at $1.50 per ticket, $5 for 3 tickets, $7 for 5 tickets, $10 for 15 tickets and $20 for unlimited tastes.
