NCAC Basketball Tournament information this weekend

The men’s and women’s NCAC Basketball Tournaments will finish on Friday and Saturday with the women’s tournament at DePauw University and the men’s tournament at The College of Wooster.

The Tigers will be in action at both locations Friday as the women will face Ohio Wesleyan in the second semifinal at 7 p.m. while the men will face Wabash in the first semifinal game at 5:30 p.m.

Of note, Friday’s 225th meeting between DePauw and Wabash will be the first time in the series that the two teams will meet on a neutral court. It is also the second meeting between the Tigers and Little Giants in the NCAC Men’s Basketball Tournament, the other a 73-59 win for DePauw in the 2014 edition of the tournament. The Tigers currently lead the head-to-head record 129-94-1.

Wittenberg will face Oberlin in the first semifinal at Neal Fieldhouse Friday with tipoff scheduled for 5 p.m. Wooster will host Denison in the second men’s semifinal at 7:30 p.m.

The men’s and women’s finals will take place at 4 p.m. Saturday.

Hilfinger set for NCAA DIII Swimming and Diving Meet

DePauw senior swimmer Ben Hilfinger quallified for three events in the upcoming NCAA Division III Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships, which run from March 15-18 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, NC.

Hilfinger qualified in three events, the 50 free (20.17), the 100 fly (47.95) and 100 free (44.53), each a ‘B’ cut time but among the top-16 times in the nation, receiving an automatic qualifier spot in each event.
