Thursday, March 2, 2023

INDIANAPOLIS — Along with five volunteers, Director Patti Harmless and Volunteer Coordinator Allison Creekmore-Long of Putnam County’s CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) program will travel to the Indiana Statehouse on Tuesday for CASA Day.

Advocates will have the chance to interact with legislators and discuss the importance of best-interest advocacy for abused and neglected children. They will hear from Chief Justice Loretta Rush, Judge Dana Kenworthy, former foster youth and others about how CASAs help these children with the issues they face.

The event will be held on the second floor of the North Atrium from 12-1 p.m. For more information, persons may contact Harmless at pharmless-casa@pcydc.org.
