SWCD, Extension hosting forest management workshop series
Landowners are invited to join Putnam County Soil and Water Conservation District and Purdue Extension in a four-part series on forest and woodlot management.
In these sessions, owners will learn how to:
• Create their own forest management plan.
• Control invasive plants,
• The benefits of timber stand improvements and
• How a timber sale works.
The first three sessions will be on April 13, 20 and 27 from 6-8 p.m. at Ivy Tech Community College in Greencastle.
The final session is on April 29 from 9-10:30 a.m. and will take place in a forest near Cloverdale.
Cost is $10 per person.
