Non-food pantry could cease distribution after May

If no new organizers are found, distribution of cleaning and hygiene products by the Putnam County Non-Food Pantry at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church could end after its regular distribution in May.

Distributions are to be held on Saturday, April 29 and Saturday, May 27.

A representative from St. Andrew’s told the Banner Graphic that the pantry’s leaders are stepping away from organizing the distributions, apart from issues obtaining products and associated costs.

However, new leaders are being sought, along with the possibility that the pantry will be available at other churches.

St. Andrew’s is located at 520 E. Seminary St., Greencastle.
