Robe-Ann Park Easter egg hunt set Saturday

Monday, April 3, 2023

Some 7,000 plastic eggs will be up for grabs Saturday morning in the annual Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department Easter egg hunt at Robe-Ann Park.

The hunt will be divided into age groups of 2-4, 5-7 and 8-10. The hunt begins at 10 a.m.

The eggs will include candy, a toy or a prize ticket. Prizes include three bicycles, three tricycles and a balance bike for the younger kids, along with two keyboards for the older group.

With the interior park circle closed to traffic and the main entrance off Bloomington Street shut down for the work on U.S. 231, parents are advised to park at the aquatic center or playground and walk over to the three hunting areas at the ballfield, next to the park office and at the log cabin.

Sponsors of the egg hunt include Putnam County Hospital, McDonald’s, Jimmy John’s, DTF Sales, Carpenter Realtors, the Greencastle Civic League, JTN Outdoor Power, Amanda Procenti State Farm Insurance and Walmart.
