PCPL to celebrate ‘Bee Day’ April 19

The Putnam County Beekeepers Association and Putnam County Public Library will celebrate “Bee Day” from 5-6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19.

At that time, the association will formally donate a number of books on beekeeping, bees and honey, ranging from children’s storybooks to beekeeper how-to manuals, recipes and other books about honeybees and other pollinators.

The association also hopes to have live bees in a glass observation hive, as well as reading some stories to kids and talking about honeybees and their benefits to others.

The library is located at 103 E. Poplar St., Greencastle.
