Sneaking her way in between two large trees near the park office at Robe-Ann Park, six-year-old Olivia Rader is on the hunt for plastic prize eggs during the Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department’s annual Easter egg hunt Saturday morning. Olivia, daughter of Shasta and Jeremy Rader of Greencastle, joined hundreds of other local youngsters in clearing out some 7,000 Easter eggs in less than five minutes.

With most of their parents cheering them on from behind the yellow caution tape roping off the age-group areas for the Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department’s annual Easter egg hunt Saturday morning, youngsters in the 5-7 year-old competition search high and low for brightly colored plastic eggs. The eggs included either candy, a toy, free coupons from McDonald’s or for some lucky kids, certificates for prizes like bicycles and musical keyboards that could be redeemed at the park office after the hunt.
