Numerous events set at DePauw Nature Park

An annual occurrence at the DePauw University Nature Park, the Earth Day 5K, is hosted by the DePauw Environmental Fellows Program and Center for Sustainability.

A free, open-to-the-public, timed, eco-friendly event, the Earth Day 5K happens on April 16.

In addition, every Friday morning through April and May, except May 5, the Big Walnut Bird Club and Putnam Parks & Pathways host guided bird watching at the park.

Meeting at 8 a.m., club member Carl Huffman leads the group around the park listening and watching for local and migratory birds.
