Marvin Lee Kelly

Marvin Lee Kelly, 86, of Greencastle, passed away on April 15, 2023, at Mill Pond Health Campus.

Marvin was born in Crawfordsville on May 12, 1936, the son of Lawrence James and Elizabeth Ruth (Witson) Kelly. He was a 1954 graduate of Roachdale High School.

Mr. Kelly worked for Huber Heating and Plumbing for many years. He was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Greencastle and attended Roachdale Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his five children, Rick Kelly (Dena), Randy Kelly (Sharon), Ellen Johnson (Scott), Jill Lazzell (Kelly) and Maria Kelly; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Jane Kelly; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, LaDonna R. Kelly; his son, Bob Kelly; his companion, Joyce Rust; five brothers, Bob, Bill, Paul Max “Ike,” Charles R. “Dick” and Wayne Kelly; and four sisters, Wilma Reed, Belle Hubble, Helen Coffman and Ester Ross.

Services will be held 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 20 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service on Thursday.
