Friends of Lieber organize cleanup day
CLOVERDALE — The Friends of Lieber State Recreation Area are holding a cleanup day on Saturday, April 22.
Volunteers are needed to clean up the roadsides approaching Lieber’s entrance along State Road 243 and other areas inside the park.
Participants are asked to meet in the Lieber office parking lot at 1 p.m. to sign in and receive instructions. Trash bags and gloves will be provided to all volunteers. Volunteers should wear closed-toed shoes. Anyone under the age of 16 will only pick up inside the park.
Lieber SRA is located on Cagles Mill Lake. Just two miles south of Interstate 70 on State Road 243, the Lieber facility offers many recreational opportunities from hiking, camping, boating, picnicking and more.
Come out and celebrate Earth Day by helping clean up the park and surrounding area.
The Friends of Lieber SRA is a non-profit organization that seeks to support Lieber and its many programs and facilities for all to enjoy.
