Jackie Gene Clifford

Jackie Gene Clifford, 87, of Bainbridge, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023, at his home with his wife by his side.

Jackie was born in Greencastle on Sept. 14, 1935, the son of Layton and Lola (Furney) Clifford. He was a 1953 graduate of Bainbridge High School.

Mr. Clifford was a member of Somerset Christian Church for many years. He worked as a press operator for IBM for 33-1/2 years and was a lifelong farmer. He loved spending time with his family, farming and also enjoyed attending truck, tractor and horse pulls.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Charlene Clifford; a son, Mike Clifford, (Terry) of Bainbridge; four grandchildren; Daryn Clifford (Meredith) of Roachdale, Darcy Boyce (Aaron) of Lipan, Texas, Ashley Truebenbach (Ryan) of Knightstown and Tabitha Bandy (Brian) of Greencastle; seven great-grandchildren, Skylar and Colton Clifford, Breck and Kelin Boyce, DeLaney and DaeLin Truebenbach and Taebrin Bandy; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Susan Clifford; a sister, Virginia Proctor; and a brother, Jimmie Clifford.

Services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 22 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home with Pastor Nathan Couch officiating. Burial will follow at Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to time of service on Saturday.
