Janet Darlene Weatherman (Rice)

Janet Darlene Weatherman (Rice), 64, departed this life and went home to God on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, after a long illness.

She was a formidable and spiritual woman who had a passion for learning to improve her situation and provide for her family. After graduating technical school in the 1980s, she would go on to work in the informational technology world, where she excelled and spent the last decade and a half working at IU Health in their IT department.

A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Janet was always there for her family and friends when needed.

She was preceded in death by parents Dennis Rice Sr. and Barbara Rice (Lake); brothers Dennis Rice Jr. (wife Teresa) of Greencastle, Ronald Rice of Columbus and James Rice of Dupont.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Tim Weatherman; two biological children, Patricia Kenney (Peters) of Indianapolis and Jonathan Maw of Greencastle, and stepson Jeremy Weatherman; five grandchildren, Sylvan Kenney, Lillith Kenney, Robert Weatherman, Patrick Weatherman and Amira Maw; and brother David Lake of Martinsville.

A short funeral service will be held on Friday, April 21 at the Walnut Chapel Cemetery in Cloverdale beginning at 1 p.m.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Bousley Funeral Home, Coatesville.
