Mary J. Boesch

Mary J. Boesch, 87, of Roachdale, passed away Tuesday morning, April 25, 2023, at Hendricks Regional Health in Danville.

Mary was born July 23, 1935, in Willow, Calif., to Hobart and Alvina (Overbey) Swiney.

Mary attended Tucson High School in Tucson, Ariz.

Mary worked as a nurse’s aide for more than 25 years. She loved caring for others in nursing homes.

Mary enjoyed puzzles and watching game shows. She was an avid “Days of Our Lives” soap opera fan, even having it recorded to make sure she didn’t miss an episode.

On Oct. 2, 1954, Mary married the love of her life, Herman Boesch. He preceded her in death on Oct. 13, 1976.

Survivors include her children, Lori (Ross) Somen, Floyd (Tara) Boesch, Donnie Boesch, Kim Boesch and Steve Boesch and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and, as Mary would say, “too many to count.” She is also survived by her siblings, Harold, Pearl, Earl and Donald, along with several nieces and nephews too many to count, along with extended family, Allison and Wanda.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herman Boesch; a son, Richie Boesch; and a beloved grandson, Tony Justiniano; along with her siblings, Leroy, Floyd, Melvin, Janet, Alvina and Luella.

According to Mary’s wishes, there will be no public services and there will be a private burial to be held at a later date.
