Phase Two to start on State Road 240 bridge rehabilitation project

Monday, May 1, 2023

The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced Phase Two of a bridge rehabilitation project will soon start on State Road 240, about 1 mile west of State Road 75.

This phase change will shift traffic to the newly constructed eastbound side, as crews begin to work on the westbound side.

Alternating traffic will continue to be controlled by temporary traffic signals.

This contract was awarded to Milestone Contractors, L.P. for $1.5 million. It’s expected to be completed in September.

It also involves an ongoing bridge rehabilitation project on U.S. 231, near Cloverdale, approximately 1.5 miles north of I-70.
