Monday, May 1, 2023

Habitat for Humanity of Putnam County will hold a rummage sale on Saturday, May 6 at its office, located at 620 Tennessee St., Greencastle.

Funds collected from the effort will go strictly toward supporting the organization’s next build or remodel, such as the current one for local veteran Bill Eiteljorge and his wife, Sharon. Four other remodel projects are in process.

All items will be sold at discounted prices, such as light fixtures, cabinets, home appliances and paint donated by Feld’s Carpet One Floor & Home.

“Year after year, we strive to rebuild and supply housing for those in need, to spread kindness through our work and to give thanks to those who support our endeavors through donations and volunteer work,” said Habitat intern Kendal Thompson. “Continuing to support our thriving community is our number one priority, and we need your help.”

Those interested in support Habitat’s future projects may fill out volunteer forms at the sale, as well as upcoming First Friday events.

Those seeking to volunteer may also contact the Habitat office at 653-5630 or email putnamhabitat@gmail.com. Donations to the project may also be mailed to the office.
