Mary L. Cash

Mary L. Cash, 93, of Greencastle, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Born Dec. 25, 1929 in Putnam County, she was the daughter of Charles Lee and Cora Ethel (Suiter) Keck.

Mary was a 1948 graduate of Bainbridge High School.

She married Donald G. Cash on March 11, 1951, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 5, 2000.

Mary was born and raised on a farm, and she loved being a farm wife and helping on the farm in her younger years. She loved to be outdoors working in the garden and with her flowers. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, home decorating and the Indiana Pacers. She really enjoyed listening to gospel music and studying the Bible.

Mary was happy when she was around small children and spending time with family and friends.

She was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and a charter member of Club 16 for more than 60 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a brother, Herbert Keck; and a sister, Audrey Thompson.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 6 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Fillmore Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mary to the American Cancer Society or Riley Children’s Hospital.
