John Paul Monnett

John Paul Monnett, 82, of Miamisburg, Ohio, formerly of Cloverdale, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023.

He was born March 14, 1941, in Cloverdale, the son of Claude and Lena (Whalen) Monnett.

He was a graduate of Cloverdale High School in the class of 1959.

John served in the Army National Guard and was a member of American Legion Post 281, Cloverdale.

John worked at Allison Gas Turbine in Indianapolis for 40 years, retiring as a plant manager in 1998.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Deanna Jean (Case) Monnett; and brothers Robert, Claude, Eugene, Lyle, Thomas and Melvin Monnett.

John is survived by his son, John W. (wife Debbie) Monnett; daughter Jill (husband Mark) Monnett-Kelsey; and grandchildren Alex Kelsey and Brynn Kelsey.

A celebration of life will be held for John at 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 27 at the Cloverdale American Legion, 501 S. Main St., Cloverdale, IN 46120.
