North Putnam 9, Fountain Central 4
The Cougars started off with a 3-0 lead and made it 8-0 after four innings to pick up a win Monday over the Mustangs.
A pair of singles allowed Jaylen Windmiller to plate two runs with a triple with courtesy runner Griffin Starr scoring on Kaden Heldermans groundout for a 3-0 lead after an inning of play.
North Putnam added to the lead in the fourth, starting with a bases-loaded walk to Nolan Augusta that forced in a run before Windmiller hit a grand slam to make it 8-0.
Fountain Central got a run in the top of the fifth that the hosts answered as Brayden Monnett drove in a run and while the Mustangs scored three runs in the sixth, the Cougars saw out the last inning to finish off the win.

Eastern Greene 10, Cloverdale 7
A four-spot from the Thunderbirds in the sixth would be enough to settle a back-and-forth game against the Clovers Monday night.
After giving up two runs in the top of the first, Cloverdale tied the game after an inning as Ben Campbell singled home a run and Jayden Sturges grounded out to plate the other run.
The hosts took the lead in the bottom of the second after Mcguire Lee doubled home one run and Campbell singled home two more runs for a 5-2 lead.
Eastern Greene scored twice in the top of the fourth and added two more runs in the fifth though the Clovers took the lead back in the bottom half of the inning when Levi Hilton forced a run in and a balk allowed the home team to retake the lead at 7-6.
A string of doubles for the Thunderbirds in the sixth, however, saw the visitors score four runs and the Cloverdale offense couldnt answer.

The Cougars dropped nine runs on the Mounties to open the contest in route to a quick finish Monday night.
Scoring began off a Kendall Brewer single and a double by Emma Williams for a 2-0 lead before singles by Karyssa Miller and Bailee Pride doubled the lead to 4-0.
An error allowed a fifth run in before Brilye Schmitz unloaded a grand slam to center field to make it 9-0 after an inning of play.
North Putnam added two more runs in the second on a wild pitch and Lexi Daigle sac fly before Schmitz added a two-run blast in the third to make it 13-0.
Williams hit a solo shot two batters later and Daigle drove in two runs with a single to finish out the scoring.
