Community garage sale to benefit Isaiah 117

A garage sale benefitting Isaiah 117, a nonprofit for children awaiting housing placement, will take place on Saturday, June 17 on the Putnam County Fairgrounds.

According to the website, children removed from their homes are often subject to waiting for many hours or days awaiting a placement. “These children often have nothing with them and are scared, lonely, hungry, and in dirty clothing,” the website states. But Isaiah 117 has opened up 11 homes across seven states and has taken care of 1,178 children, according to the 2022 annual report. Putnam County is looking to raise awareness in order to open a location of its own.

The garage slae will begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 3:30 p.m., and will be accepting cash and card payments.
