Monday, June 12, 2023

Timothy Alan Siebrase, 72, of Russellville, went home to be with his Lord after a brief illness on Monday, June 5, 2023, surrounded by his wife and children.

Tim was born on Feb. 18, 1951 to Jayne “Eloise” and Wilbur Edwin Siebrase. Tim graduated from High School in Greencastle 1969 and later attended Vincennes and graduated from Indiana State University.

Tim made the brave and selfless decision to join the United States military and served in both active duty and reserves in the United States Army. He was an Airborne Ranger infantry officer and achieved the rank of major. He was stationed in Ft. Lewis (Tacoma, Wash.), Ft. Wainwright (Fairbanks, Alaska) and several other locations. His oldest son, Joe, followed in his footsteps in the grueling task of becoming an Army Ranger. His grandson, Austin, continues the family tradition and currently serves on active duty today in the United States Army.

Tim met the love of his life on a blind date in 1981, and the pair were married March 27, 1988. Tim was a God fearing man and was an elder at Russellville Community Church. He believed in taking care of people. Family and friends were important to him, these relationships mattered, and he will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife, Diane, and children Joseph (Kaci), Nathan (Liz), Amy and Michael (Renee); along with 11 grandchildren, Brandon, Austin, Ryan, Haley, Tanner, Piper, Cole, Aubrey, Nora, Shaffer and Etta; four great-grandchildren, Noah, Rosalee, Jackson and Olive; brothers William Ray, Jon (Robin) and Robert (Marilyn); and aunt Phyllis Patton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, father- and mother-in-law and brother Daniel Siebrase.

The family invites you to visit on Saturday, June 17 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Russellville Community Church with funeral immediately following at 1 p.m. Burial will take place in Hebron Cemetery.
