TCB’s Wehrman, Mitchell complete graduate training

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Paul W. Barret Jr. Graduate School of Banking in Memphis recently announced the graduation of Marilyn Wehrman, vice president, and Mike “Mitch” Mitchell, executive vice president, of Tri-County Bank & Trust Co., Roachdale.

Sixty-five students completed the three-year curriculum and graduated in the 2023 class. The school was held May 21-26 on the campus of Christian Brothers University in Memphis. Jim Gowen Jr., chairman of the Board of Regents of Paul W. Barret Jr. School of Banking, spoke at the graduation ceremony and congratulated graduates on behalf of the board.

In addition to course work, students attended the Paul W. Barret Jr. Lecture Series event. Marcus Lemonis, CEO of Camping World and host of CNBC “The Profit” and HGTV “The Renovator,” addressed school participants and invited guests.

Paul W. Barret Jr. Graduate School of Banking has been providing advanced banking education for 51 years, with a curriculum designed to provide a high degree of understanding of all commercial banking functions. During the three-year program, graduates received in excess of 130 hours of instruction and prepared in-depth reports in eight areas of study. There were 246 financial industry professionals from 30 states participating in the 2023 session.
