Johnny Mac Mohler

Johnny Mac Mohler, 87, passed away on June 25, 2023 in Avon.

He was born July 3, 1935 in Greencastle to Eugene (Pete) and Fern (Chloe) Mohler.

He worked as an assembler for Allison Transmission after serving as an airplane mechanic in the United States Air Force for 20 years, reaching the rank of master sergeant.

Johnny Mac was a very patriotic man and served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of VFW. Survivors include his wife, Bernadine Mohler of Jasper; a daughter; his daughter-in-law, Monique Mohler (Dave Luke); grandchildren Elaine Morgan (Mike), Elizabeth Woodruff, Michael Mohler (Stephanie) and Matthew Mohler; great-grandchildren Jayda, Norah, Izzy and Abel.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, John Mohler.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 30 at 1 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield. Burial with military honors will take place at Westridge Park Cemetery, Indianapolis.
