2023 All-Putnam County Softball Team

Catcher: Emma Williams, North Putnam (Putnam County Player of the Year) — Co-led team with .449 batting average with 40 hits and team highs with 38 RBI, nine doubles and 10 home runs. Scored 21 runs with 15 walks against 11 strikeouts, leading the team in on-base percentage (.529), slugging (.910) and OPS (1.439). Stole three bases while fielding .962 with 144 putouts and 10 assists against six errors.

Pitcher: Ali Hassler, Greencastle — Held a 10-7 across 154.1 innings, sporting a 2.36 ERA in 26 appearances, allowing 132 hits, 91 runs (52 earned), allowing 49 walks against 213 strikeouts. Defensively, Hassler had 23 putouts and three assists against three errors.

1st Base: Gloria Brewer, Greencastle — Batted .430 with 34 hits, 23 runs scored and 20 RBI with five doubles, a triple and two home runs. Stole 13 bases, struck out seven times with one walk, reaching base at a .439 rate with a slugging rate of .594 and OPS of 1.034. Defensively, fielded at .947 with 33 putouts and three assists against two errors.

2nd Base: Erin Johnson, Cloverdale — Led the Clovers with a .397 batting average, 31 hits, 25 runs scored and seven doubles. Drove in 14 runs with seven walks and seven strikeouts for a .447 on-base percentage, a .512 slugging rate and OPS of .960. Defensively had 33 putouts and 38 assists against 13 errors.

Shortstop: Emma Hunter, Greencastle — Led Tiger Cubs with .542 batting average, 52 hits, 41 RBI, 16 doubles, two triples and four home runs. Scored 36 runs with 10 walks against 13 strikeouts, leading the team in on-base percentage (.583), slugging (.875) and OPS (1.458). Stole 26 bases while fielding at .855 with 53 putouts and 12 assists against 11 errors.

3rd Base: Sydney Lantzy, Greencastle — Batted .462 with 48 hits, 21 RBI, eight doubles, three triples and a team-high five home runs. Scored a team-high 38 runs with eight walks and 13 strikeouts with an on-base percentage of .504, slugging of .740 and 1.244 OPS. Stole a team-high 40 bases while fielding .917 with 78 putouts and 10 assists against eight errors.

Right Field: Peyton Freeman, South Putnam — Batted .316 with 18 hits and a team-high 16 RBI. Scores six runs with three doubles, a triple and home run with 19 strikeouts for a .371 on-base rate, a ,456 slugging rate and OPS of .827. Defensively had 23 putouts against three errors and had two double plays from the outfield.

Center Field: Kenzie Epley, Greencastle — Batted .385 with 35 hits, 33 RBI and 19 runs scored with 10 doubles, a triple and four home runs. Had 10 stolen bases with 11 walks against 24 strikeouts for a .462 on-base rate, a .648 slugging rate and 1.110 OPS. Defensively fielded .974 with 35 putouts and two assists against a single error.

Left Field: Bailee Pride, North Putnam — Batter .291 with 23 hits, 17 runs scored and 10 RBI. Had three doubles and a home run, stole 11 bases with 29 strikeouts for a .317 on-base rate, a .367 slugging rate and OPS of .684.

Relief Pitcher: Kyndal Brewer, North Putnam — Had an 8-7 record across 120 innings, sporting a 3.21 ERA in 24 appearances, allowing 128 hits, 74 runs (55 earned) with 28 walks and 109 strikeouts. Defensively fielded at .935 with 74 putouts and 27 assists against seven errors.

Designated Player: Lilah Holderfield, South Putnam — Batted .321 with 18 hits, 13 RBI, 13 runs scored and three doubles. Led team with 16 walks and five strikeouts, a .459 on-base percentage, a .375 slugging rate and an OPS of .834. Had four stolen bases and a .868 fielding rate with 73 putouts and six assists, along with four double plays, against 12 errors.

Pinch Hitter: Brilye Schmitz, North Putnam — Co-led team with .449 batting average with team-high 46 hits, 33 RBI, eight doubles and seven home runs. Scored a team-high 37 runs, drawing 14 walks against nine strikeouts for a on-base percentage of .529, slugging of .765 and OPS of 1.283. Stole 17 bases while fielding .971 with 49 putouts and 53 assists against three errors.

Utility — Paisley Meyerrose, Cloverdale — Batted .328 with 20 hits, 22 RBI, 18 runs scored, a team-high four home runs and two doubles. Drew a team-high 10 walks against 21 strikeouts with team highs in on-base percentage (.481), slugging (.557) and OPS (1.038). Fielded at .859 rate with 45 putouts and 28 assists against 12 errors.

In the circle, had a 7.67 ERA over 21 innings, allowing 46 hits, 53 runs (23 earned) and 15 walks against 21 strikeouts.
