Harold L. Whitaker

Harold L. Whitaker, 86, of Cloverdale, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Hendricks Regional Health.

Harold was born in Greencastle on March 28, 1937 to Joseph and Beulah (Cassida) Whitaker.

He graduated from Cloverdale High School in 1955. Harold retired from IBM and Walmart Distribution.

On July 25, 1964, Harold married Judy Cummings, and she survives. Also surviving are children Dennis Whitaker (Karen), Jill Stewart (Coty) and Craig Whitaker (Heather) and grandchildren, Hilary Whitaker, Justin Whitaker, Jessica Stewart, Josh Stewart and Brody Whitaker. He is also survived by brother Kenneth Whitaker.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Harold loved sports and was a coach for Little League baseball and girls softball for many years. He loved going to sporting events and was an avid IU basketball fan.

Harold was one of the kindest men you could ever meet and never met a stranger.

He will be missed by his family and friends.

If desired, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation. There will be no service. Cremation was handled by Costin Funeral Chapel.
