Volkswagens wanted for fair parade

Local Volkswagen owners are being sought as the Volkswagen Brigade will again bring up the rear of the Putnam County 4-H Fair Parade this Sunday.

Since its first appearance in 2001, the group’s mission has been to keep the marque alive by inviting enthusiasts from the area and beyond to be a part of this parade tradition.

Whether air-cooled or water-cooled, customized or daily drivers, all Volkswagens vintage and modern are welcome.

The Volkswagen Brigade will stage in the Greencastle High School parking lot at the corner of Washington Street and Percy L. Julian Drive. Participants should arrive by 1 p.m., while the parade will get under way by 2 p.m.
