Newby awarded Putnam Master Gardener scholarship

Madison Newby

A local resident and recent South Putnam graduate has been awarded a scholarship for the upcoming year.

Madison Newby was awarded a scholarship from the Putnam County Master Gardener Association for the 2023-24 academic year.

Newby will be entering her freshman year at Purdue University.

She is pursuing a degree in natural resources and environmental science that will enable her to work toward improving the environment and the way agriculturists work with the land.
