James Michael Cooper

James Michael Cooper Sr., 77, of Cloverdale, went to be with the Lord on Aug. 6, 2023.

He was born April 6, 1946 in Indianapolis to the late James and Helen (Brady) Cooper.

He married Laura (Faletic) Cooper on June 11, 1966, and she survives.

He was a member of the Clayton Christian Church and honorably served his country in the United States Air Force.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, James Michael Cooper Jr. and companion Tamara Petty, Robert D. Cooper, Tammy M. Branham and her husband Ron and Jesse R. Cooper and wife Beth Bladen; siblings Kenny (Katie) Cooper, Ronnie (Lynne) Cooper, Linda (DeWayne) Sigler and Kathy Couch; also nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Cooper, and brother in-law Gary Couch.

Services for Mike will be held Thursday, Aug. 10 at 3 p.m. at Clayton Christian Church. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until service time. Following services, a celebration of life will be held at American Legion Post 64, 601 S. Holt Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46241.
