Shirley Anne O’Hair Cherry

Shirley Anne O’Hair Cherry, age 85, of Indianapolis and formerly of Greencastle, passed away on Friday, Aug. 11, 2023.

Shirley was born in Greencastle, the daughter of the late Durbin and Margret (Kelly) O’Hair.

She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Beech Grove. Shirley was an nurse practitioner and worked at St. Francis Hospital for 45 years.

Shirley is survived by her husband of 64 years, Travice D. Cherry; her children, David Cherry and his wife Amy, Brenda McGovern and her husband Gary, Michael Cherry and Daniel Cherry; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 18 at Holy Name Catholic Church, 89 N. 17th Ave., Beech Grove. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 17 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 4901 E. Stop 11 Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46237. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Indianapolis.
