County Jail

Thirteen people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Thursday

• At 12:28 a.m. John E. Crumpacker, 41, North Salem, was lodged at the jail for driving while intoxicated and reckless driving.

Wednesday

• At 11:31 p.m. Allen W. Clark, 34, Waynetown, was taken into custody for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and driving with a suspended license.

• At 5:23 p.m. Robin A. Pingleton, 57, Cloverdale, was housed at the jail on a pair of local warrants.

• At 4:10 p.m. Lee P. Supples, 60, Brazil, was booked in for battery and criminal mischief.

• At 3:31 p.m. Heather L. Barrett, 47, Cory, was lodged at the jail for false identity statement and on a local warrant.

• At 2:31 p.m. Isach M. Osborn, 20, Greencastle, was taken into custody on a local warrant.

• At 10:43 a.m. Patrick W. Briski, 29, Greencastle, was housed at the jail on a local warrant.

• At midnight, Austin R. Hooten, 26, Bainbridge, was booked in on a local warrant.

Tuesday

• At 12:54 p.m. Anna M. Starr, 29, Reelsville, was lodged at the jail on a writ.

• At 12:26 p.m. Michael F. Clauss, 27, Indianapolis, was taken into custody on a local warrant.

• At 12:25 p.m. Glenn E. Simon, 55, Taylorsville, was housed at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 11:51 a.m. Lauren L. Via, 30, Danville, was booked in on an out-of-county warrant.

• At 1:26 a.m. Cameron Z. Coleman, 31, Indianapolis, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to four incidents since Tuesday:

• At 4:08 p.m. on Tuesday, GFD received a direct call for an odor of smoke at Almost Home. Firefighters arrived at 4:10 and could not detect said odor or find any smoke. It was determined that a beverage cooler lost all its coolant. GFD went back into service at 4:19 p.m.

• At 9:37 a.m. on Wednesday, GFD was dispatched to 215 Wood St. for a person trapped under a vehicle. Firefighters arrived at 9:39 after a Greencastle police officer released the person by lifting a jack that fell. GFD assisted with patient care, then returned to service at 9:46 a.m.

• At 5:46 p.m. on Wednesday, GFD was dispatched to Phi Kappa Psi at DePauw University for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 5:47 and determined a pull station was accidentally activated. The pull station and the alarm system was reset. GFD went back into service at 5:55 p.m.

• At 8:38 p.m. on Wednesday, GFD was dispatched to Phi Gamma Delta at DePauw for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 8:40 and found a broken sprinkler head in the attic. The sprinkler system was shut down and maintenance was contacted. GFD went back into service at 9:26 p.m.

Additionally, GFD responded for seven medical assists and had three disregards in this timeframe.
