Ken W. Whitaker

Ken W. Whitaker, 84, of Cloverdale, went to be with the Lord on Aug. 19, 2023.

He was born in Cloverdale Sept. 11, 1938, to the late Joseph and Beulah (Cassida) Whitaker.

He married Janet K. Kirmse on June 21, 1959, and she preceded him in death on Sept. 30, 2020.

Ken retired from IBM as a purchasing manager after 30 years of service.

He is survived by his sons, Jim Whitaker and wife Kelly and Dave Whitaker and wife Jolene, and his daughter, Cheryl Arnold and husband Tim. Ken also had six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Whitaker.

Funeral services for Ken will be held on Wednesday, Aug 23 at 1 p.m. at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in the Cloverdale Cemetery.
