Non-food pantry with indoor format set Saturday

Monday, August 21, 2023

The Putnam County Non-Food Pantry will distribute cleaning and hygiene products this Saturday, Aug. 26 from noon-3 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 520 E. Seminary St., Greencastle.

The service will return to inside distribution where visitors can select products. As such, there will be registration where proof of Putnam County residence is needed. This may include a driver’s license or recent utility bill.

Vistors are encouraged to bring a reusable bag for their products, for which they will receive an additional item of their choice. Persons may pick up a bag for another who is unable to come, with their proof of residency also provided.

A light lunch of sandwiches, fruit and other options will be offered.

Those attending should enter the parking lot on Bloomington Street through the Cornerstone Baptist Church’s lot.

“We want to thank all those who donated their time and money to our non-food pantry, those in the St. Andrew’s parish, members of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, the Cornerstone Baptist Church, students at DePauw University and many members of the Greencastle community,” church representative Martha Rainbolt said.
