Heritage Lake Attic Fire

Firefighters throw a ladder as they tackle an attic fire at 8205 E. CR 450 North in Heritage Lake Monday evening. A box alarm was dispatched at about 6:25 p.m. as personnel arrived to smoke emanating from the eaves. A drop tank was set up with two handlines being used to get at the fire. No one was hurt in the incident.

A hole is cut in the roof to ventilate the smoke. The home is not a total loss apart from water damage. Firefighters from Fillmore, Floyd Township, Bainbridge and Roachdale and Coatesville, Amo, Danville and North Salem in Hendricks County responded. Putnam County EMS and the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office were also at the scene.
