Telling the story of a Dutch Holocaust survivor that is not only captivating, but also true, Gayle Haas from the Chicago area will be performing a dramatic monologue of Corrie ten Boom at Greencastle Christian Church on Wednesday, Sept. 20.

Haas has done a variety of convocations and programs across the country, but is most widely known for her presentation titled “A Visit with Corrie” – a dramatic monologue as Corrie ten Boom. She has performed for a variety of audiences from secular to sacred, from kindergarten to university students and older adults.

While some may remember ten Boom as the main character in the book “The Hiding Place” or in the movie by the same title, others remember her as a woman of great courage in the face of evil and the horrors of the Holocaust. For her peformance in “A Visit with Corrie,” Haas has been described as “a master dramatist who tells a true story which we should never forget.”

Anyone who would like to come to the luncheon at 11 a.m. is welcome. Reservations are required by noon on Friday, Sept. 15, by calling the church office at 653-5816. To only attend the monologue presentation, no reservations are necessary, but arrival by 11:30 is suggested.
