North Putnam students’ National Merit, AP honors recognized
ROACHDALE — Multiple North Putnam students were recently recognized with AP (Advanced Placement) Scholar honors, as well as one in the National Merit Scholarship Program.
Jubilee Majors was named a Commended Student in the latter, she being one of about 34,000 through the nation. While not continuing in this year’s competition, they placed among the top 50,000 students who entered by taking the 2022 PSAT as National Merit’s qualifying test.
Meanwhile, 13 students were recognized as either an AP Scholar or an AP Scholar with Honors, eight of whom are current seniors.
AP Scholars are those with scores of 3 or higher on three or more exams, while AP Honors denotes an average score of at least 3.35 on all exams taken.
The AP Scholar students are as follows: Majors, Grace Clodfelter, Evan Polley, Gabbi Simonson, Elizabeth Stone, Myles Bryan, Alaina Chew, Lucas Murphy and Levi O’Neal.
The AP Scholar with Honors students are as follows: Brady Barber, Nolan Hackleman, Eli Porter and Seth Fuhrman.
