Candidates Forum set for Oct. 11

The Greencastle League of Women Voters, WGRE 91.5 FM, and the Banner Graphic are co-sponsoring a Candidates Forum for the Greencastle community.

It will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. at the Watson Forum in the Pulliam Center for Contemporary Media on DePauw’s campus.

The forum will be recorded by WGRE 91.5 and broadcast later on WGRE’s public affairs program, which runs from 5-6 p.m. on Thursdays. The first segment will run on Thursday, Oct. 12, followed by the second segment on Oct. 26.

This forum will feature mayoral candidates Brian Cox and Lynda Dunbar; clerk-treasurer candidate Mikayla Johnson; city council at-large candidates Katherine Asbell, Kim Fidler, Mark Hammer, Derek Jorgensen and Gary Lemon; city council First Ward candidates Russell Harvey and David Masten; city council Second Ward candidate Stacie Langdon; city council Third Ward candidates Tina Nicholson and Veronica Pejril; and city council Fourth Ward candidates Vincent Aguirre and Cody Eckert.

At-large candidate Darrel Thomas will not be in attendance due to a prior commitment.

At the conclusion of the forum, audience members will be allowed to ask questions of the candidates. Refreshments will be served.
