County Jail

Ten people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Thursday

• At noon Shawn M. Mansfield, 49, Greencastle, was housed at the jail for battery with bodily injury.

• At 10:58 a.m. Matthew A. Blauvelt, 38, Greencastle, booked in on a local warrant.

• At 9:59 a.m. Brian D. Turner, 63, Russellville, was lodged at the jail on an out-of-county warrant.

Wednesday

• At 9:25 p.m. Nicholas R. Porter, 24, Terre Haute, was taken into custody on a Johnson County warrant.

• At 1:14 a.m. Zachary G. Smith, 31, Indianapolis, was housed at the jail on a pair of local warrants.

• At 12:11 a.m. Maryann Ferguson, 46, Greencastle, was booked in for driving while intoxicated, resisting law enforcement and battery on law enforcement.

Tuesday

• At 9:07 p.m. Jerod A. Greunholz, 49, Bainbridge, was lodged at the jail for probation violation.

• At 10:03 a.m. Chance B. Evens, 24, Greencastle, was taken into custody on a local warrant.

Monday

• At 7:51 p.m. Allison M. Brown, 34, Greencastle, was housed at the jail on an out-of-county warrant.

• At 3:20 p.m. Chad W. Wilson, 48, Cloverdale, was booked in on a local warrant.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to 10 incidents between Sunday morning and Wednesday evening:

• At 12:13 a.m. on Sunday, GFD was dispatched to Dirks House at DePauw University for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 12:15 and did not determine a cause for the alarm. The alarm system was reset. GFD went back into service at 12:18 a.m.

GFD responded to two consecutive dispatches to Humbert Hall at DePauw between Sunday afternoon and Monday evening:

• At 4:18 p.m. on Sunday, GFD was dispatched for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 4:20 and did not determine a cause for the alarm. The alarm system was reset. GFD went back into service at 4:27 p.m.

• At 5:08 p.m. on Monday, GFD was dispatched for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 5:13 and did not determine a cause for the alarm. The alarm system was reset. GFD went back into service at 5:17 p.m.

• At 12:47 p.m. on Tuesday, GFD was dispatched to Wilson House at DePauw for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 12:50 and determined the alarm was due to cooking. The alarm system was reset. GFD went back into service at 12:56 p.m.

• At 4:08 p.m. on Tuesday, GFD was dispatched to Silander House at DePauw for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 4:09 and determined the alarm was due to cooking. The alarm system was reset. GFD went back into service at 4:18 p.m.

• At 6:47 p.m. on Tuesday, GFD was dispatched to Oliver House at DePauw for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 6:48 and determined the alarm was due to cooking. The alarm system was reset. GFD went back into service at 6:51 p.m.

• At 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, GFD was dispatched to Minshall House at DePauw for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 7:16 and determined the alarm was due to cooking. The alarm system was reset. GFD went back into service at 7:52 p.m.

• At 10:18 p.m. on Tuesday, GFD was dispatched to the DePauw-owned duplex at 107 S. Hanna St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 10:19 and did not determine a cause for the alarm. The alarm system was reset. GFD went back into service at 10:25 p.m.

• At 11:18 a.m. on Wednesday, GFD was dispatched to Pence House at DePauw for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 11:21 and did not determine a cause for the alarm. The alarm system was reset. GFD went back into service at 11:28 a.m.

• At 4:34 p.m. on Wednesday, GFD was dispatched to 911 E. Washington St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 4:39 and determined the alarm was due to a malfunction. The homeowner made contact with an alarm company. GFD went back into service at 4:53 p.m.

Additionally, GFD responded for 11 medical assists and had two disregards in this timeframe.
