A one-day field trip exposed Cloverdale and North Putnam freshmen to some possible career and education options following high school.

Students from each school came together on Wednesday for the Freshman Experience, a day filled with opportunities to learn more about postsecondary options in Putnam County.

Both administrations extended their thanks for the cooperation and support of partner organizations Area 30 Career Center, Ascena Retail Group, Crown Equipment, Ivy Tech Community College of Greencastle, Putnam County Fairgrounds and the Putnam County PIE Coalition.

The day provided the students with the opportunity to explore these partner organizations and learn about some of the options Putnam County has for them as they begin working on their postsecondary plans.

Putnam County PIE Coalition began the day with some fun and the opportunity for both schools to come together prior to leaving to go to their first locations.

Organizers extended a special thanks to Papa John’s and Sunset Ink in Greencastle for providing their talents for the day.
