At noon on Saturday, Dec. 16, Washburn Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will be helping Forest Hill Cemetery and cemeteries in Putnam County to remember and honor our veterans by laying remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country’s fallen heroes.

Community members are asked to help honor and remember as many fallen heroes by sponsoring wreaths through the website www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/IN0139P.

Anyone who would like to sponsor a wreath at Forest Hill Cemetery may choose a particular grave for the wreath to be placed by the sponsor or or by local volunteers.

Those wanting to sponsor a wreath for a veteran who is laid to rest in a different cemetery may pick up a wreath on Dec. 16 and place it themselves.

For anyone who sponsors a wreath for in Putnam County, those wreaths will be available for pick up at Forest Hill Cemetery, 2181 S. CR 50 West Greencastle, beginning at 10 a.m. on Dec. 16.

Anyone with questions may contact dianabrumfield@gmail.com.
