Small businesses come together for fashion show this Saturday

Four Greencastle boutiques will be highlighted on Small Business Saturday as Almost Home Restaurant and Swizzle Stick Bar hosts its inaugural Holiday Fashion Show Luncheon on Saturday, Nov. 25.

Holiday fashions will be provided by Burge Boots & Boutique, Blushing Beaus, Keith & Kane and Britt’s Blooming Boutique.

“We are so excited to bring this fun holiday event to Greencastle to kick off Small Business Saturday,” Almost Home owner Gail Smith said. “The restaurant will be gleaming with our legendary Christmas tree display.”

A special luncheon menu will be served and will include options of Almost Home cobb salad, spinach and smoked salmon salad, half chicken salad sandwich and a cup of broccoli cheddar soup and chicken and broccoli casserole with muffin and fruit. The lunch also includes a non-alcoholic beverage and dessert of strawberry pizza.

“This will an exciting event where all of our downtown boutiques will be represented, and models will share their holiday looks,” event coordinator Joe Buser said. “We’re hoping that after our show, our guests will take time to stroll around downtown and shop for more holiday gift items from our bustling stores, restaurants and boutiques.”

Guests are asked to arrive at 10:30 a.m. for seating and ordering. The Swizzle Stick will be offering mimosas and bloody Marys and an opportunity for guests to mingle. The models will hit the runway at 11 a.m. and should finish up around noon.

“This will be such a great way to start the holiday season downtown,” Buser said. “You’ll have your parking spot and a delightful lunch so then, ‘Let the shopping begin.’”

Seating will be limited, so reservations are advised and can be secured by calling Almost Home at 653-5788
