County Jail

Two people were booked in the Putnam County Jail on Tuesday.

• At 9:58 p.m. Kyle Fisher, 30, Fillmore, was booked in on a local warrant.

• At 3:33 a.m. Jalah R. Abraham, 38, Frankfort, was booked in on a local warrant.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to a pair of dispatches on Tuesday.

• At 11:19 a.m., GFD was called to a fire alarm at Chiyoda, 2200 E. SR 240. Arriving at 11:25 a.m., crews were able to determine that the alarm system was set off due to dust from work being done in the plant. They reset the alarm and then returned to service at 11:37 a.m.

• At 5:05 p.m., firefighters responded to a fire alarm at Tzouanakis Intermediate School, 500 Linwood Drive. Arriving at 5:07 p.m., crews found a pull station had been activated. They reset the alarm and returned to service at 5:17 p.m.

GFD also assisted with eight medical runs during the period from Monday morning through Wednesday morning.
