County Jail

Several people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Thursday

• At 2:36 a.m. Damon T. Rivers, 48, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail for domestic battery in the presence of a minor, possession of a controlled substance, battery on law enforcement and resisting law enforcement.

Wednesday

• At 9:33 p.m. Rachel N. King, 33, Cloverdale, was taken into custody on a local warrant.

• At 1:56 p.m. Tyjuan D. Abron, 34, Indianapolis, was housed a the jail on a local warrant.

• At 9:08 a.m. Lyndon A. Goodpaster, 24, Plainville, was booked in for battery resulting in bodily injury.

Tuesday

• At 9:43 p.m. Lisa M. Stehle, 53, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail for driving while intoxicated, resisting law enforcement and possession of paraphernalia.

• At 8:56 p.m. Jennifer L. Hendricks, 46, Greencastle, was taken into custody for domestic battery and criminal mischief.

• At 8:25 p.m. Michael D. Hendricks, 52, Greencastle, was housed at the jail for domestic battery and criminal mischief.

• At 4:59 p.m. Marvin L. Adcock, 43, Indianapolis, was booked in on a local warrant.

• At 9:14 a.m. Catrina M. Cullen, 38, Roachdale, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to eight incidents between Monday and Thursday:

• At 8:13 p.m. on Monday, GFD was requested by the Russellville Volunteer Fire Department for a chimney fire at 4800 W. CR 1050 North. Firefighters arrived on the scene at 8:29 and assisted with extinguishment and overhaul. The Bainbridge and Roachdale volunteer departments also responded. GFD went back into service at 9:17 p.m.

• At 5:58 a.m. on Tuesday, GFD was dispatched to 1058 E. CR 25 South for a carbon monoxide alarm. Firefighters arrived at 6:10 a.m. and found that CO levels were within normal limits. The homeowner was advised to have the furnace checked. GFD went back into service at 6:33 p.m.

• At 6:45 a.m. on Tuesday, GFD was dispatched to Autumn Glen for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 6:52 after the alarm system had already been reset. GFD went back into service at 7:03 a.m.

• At 10:09 a.m. on Tuesday, GFD received a direct call for a hot smell at 624 Brentfield Ln. Firefighters arrived at 10:16 and did not locate a source for the odor. GFD went back into service at 10:33 a.m.

• At 8:10 p.m. on Tuesday, GFD was dispatched to Jordan Hall at DePauw University for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 8:14 and determined the alarm was activated by a pull station. The alarm system was reset. GFD went back into service at 8:26 p.m.

• At 8:43 p.m. on Tuesday, GFD was dispatched to Wilson House at DePauw for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 8:46 and determined the alarm was due to cooking. The alarm system was reset. GFD went back into service at 8:50 p.m.

• At 9:22 p.m. on Tuesday, GFD was dispatched to Humbert Hall at DePauw for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 9:26 and did not determine the cause of the alarm. The alarm system was reset. GFD went back into service at 9:40 p.m.

• At 9:02 p.m. on Wednesday, GFD was dispatched for a gas leak at Castle Mobile Home Court. Firefighters arrived at the same time at CenterPoint Energy at 9:05 and assisted with locating the leak, which was found from a faulty regulator. GFD went back into service at 9:13 p.m.

Additionally, GFD responded for seven medical assists during this timeframe.
