Vicky Sue Petrey

Vicky Sue Petrey, 69, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023 at home following an extended illness.

She was born on Dec. 16, 1953 in Indianapolis to Gene and Deloris Torrence.

Vicky worked for the Banner Graphic for several years, and she was also a bus monitor for 15 years for the Greencastle Community School Corporation. She loved her job, as she loved interacting with the little kids who all loved her.

Vicky loved being around family; her pride and joy were her daughter, Jessica, and her two grandsons. Vicky loved old movies and music from the 1970s; she could name every singer from practically any song.

Vicky is survived by her daughter, Jessica (husband Josh) Bryant of Greencastle; grandsons Ben and August; her mother, Deloris Torrence of Greencastle; sisters Tammy (husband Jim) Petrey of Greencastle and Norma Smith of Crawfordsville; three brothers, David Torrence (wife Debbie) of Greencastle, Donald Torrence (wife Lisa) of Greencastle and Jimmy Torrence (wife Jessica) of Scottsdale, Ariz.; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Gene Torrence; sister Donna Kay; and her little angel, Autumn, who was just like a daughter to her.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Donnie Watson officiating, with burial to follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Greencastle. The family will accept friends for visitation on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
