Meredith D. Clifford, 44, of Roachdale, passed away Friday, Dec. 8, 2023, peacefully at home with her family by her side.

Meredith was born Jan. 10, 1979 in Champaign, Ill., to Allen Price and Rose (Harris) Johnson.

She graduated from Greencastle High School in 1997. Later, she followed her passion for helping others by earning her bachelor’s in nursing from WGU.

On Feb. 1, 2002, high school best friends Meredith and Daryn M. Clifford got married, where they shared 21 years of marriage together.

Meredith loved being an RN and had a passion for all her patients, especially the babies. She loved all people as Jesus did. She enjoyed worship nights at church and baptism Sundays. Family meant everything to her, from going to all the kids’ sporting events to just spending time with them. She enjoyed watching dirt track racing, camping, vacationing to the beach and long drives in the country taking in all of God’s beauty. She especially enjoyed watching the sunrises and sunsets from her porch. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, even the reruns. Everyone would laugh when Meredith would want to go through the McDonald’s drive-through for a large Dr Pepper with extra ice.

She is survived by her husband, Daryn M. Clifford; daughter Skylar J.M. Clifford (fiance Dustin Costin); son Colton Clifford (Marin Davies); her siblings, Chris Price (Kelly), Adrienne Hahn (David) and Jennifer Wallace (Ryan); her parents, Allen Price and Rose Johnson (Allen); her father- and mother-in-law, Joe and Karla Lawless; along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by both her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14 at Greencastle Christian Church, 620 Primrose Ct., Greencastle, IN 46135, with Pastor Nathan Couch officiating. Burial will follow at Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery in Greencastle. Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. until service time at 2:30 p.m., also located at the church.

Memorials in Meredith’s name may be made to Riley Children’s Hospital.
